The iPhone camera lets you translate all the signs around you

Here's how iOS 16 makes translations easier.

Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2022) took place last week, and the tech company showed how communication can be made easy and comfortable through a iPhone.

During his keynote address, Apple has unveiled its latest mobile operating system, iOS 16. The latest update offers a host of features and tools to make communication not just fun, but efficient as well as useful.

The iPhone camera lets you translate all the signs around you. Simply point your camera at a sign and it automatically translates it into English - or the language of your choice! No more guesswork when traveling abroad.

Apple has added a new feature to the iPhone camera. It's called "Translate" and lets you translate signs into other languages.

This function is easy to use. Simply open the iPhone camera, point it at the text to be translated, tap the text selection button, select the text and choose the translation option. Translation of the selected text will then be instantaneous. Users can also pause the view to get the translated text above the text and, to focus on it, they can even zoom in.

This tool will be very useful for travelers who often encounter signs in foreign languages. Previously, Google Translate offered a similar feature, allowing users to activate the camera from within the app and translate the text. Now, with the iOS 16 Camera app, Apple offers a translation function just as powerful as Google's in its new iOs 16 system, without the need to download a third-party app!

The iPhone camera has some pretty cool features that you may not be aware of. You can also use its Quick Actions function to make all the data found in photos and videos via the Camera app usable. For example, simply tap on flight, shipping, currency, URL and foreign language information to track information and visit URLs with one click, or copy text directly from a photo!

iOS 16 was the highlight of the WWDC 2022 keynote.

The new operating system will be available to iPhone users worldwide in July 2022.
